Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs) assist in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ at Liturgies. All those who have received the Sacrament of Initiation and who are in full communion with the Catholic Church are invited to serve. In addition, Training is done about 3 times a year.

EMHCs also have the opportunity to assist the Hospital Ministry or the Nursing Home Ministry by taking the Eucharist to those unable to celebrate Mass with the community.

Duties Of Extraordinary Minister:

• Arrive 15 minutes before assigned Mass
• Help Liturgy Coordinator prepare for Mass as needed
• Help Pastor and Deacons distribute our Blessed Lord in both species
• Assist Liturgy Coordinator with clearing altar and cleaning the vessels
• Attend training as requested by the Deacons or Pastor
